Ryan Baker is the Director, Recruitment & Professional Development at Bereskin & Parr LLP. Ryan leads the firm’s legal talent, professional development, and recruitment programs, and works closely with senior leadership to develop and implement initiatives aimed at the engagement and advancement of B&P’s professionals.
Ryan is responsible for the recruitment, training, and career development of the firm’s associates and law students across all four offices and manages all aspects of these programs including performance management, retention, workload allocation, and mentoring. Ryan also works to develop and advance the firm’s equity, diversity, and inclusion strategy, as well as mental health programming.
Before joining Bereskin & Parr, Ryan was general counsel and human resources director for a national legal recruitment organization. Prior to this, Ryan maintained a general corporate commercial practice at a national law firm and was actively involved in student and associate programs.
Outside of work, Ryan is passionate about reading, playing tennis, trying new restaurants, and consuming all forms of media – especially Oscar movies, reality TV, and podcasts. (“Be cool. Don’t be all, like… uncool.” Countess Luann, Real Housewives of New York City.)
